Martha Guerra, 46, of Longmont, passed away March 31, 2016 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Martha was born May 26, 1969 in Greeley, Colorado to Marcos Sr. and Candy (Salazar) Garza. She was raised in Galeton with five siblings. She attended school in Eaton.
Martha was raised in the catholic faith and was the mother of seven beautiful children.
Martha helped her family in the sugar beet fields as a young girl. She worked in restaurants and later in manufacturing.
Martha was a comedian and enjoyed making people laugh and did not like to see any one sad. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, crocheting, and drawing. She also spent time serving food to the homeless. Martha loved spending time with her family at Bar-B-Que’s on weekends. She was a fighter, very caring, loving and had the brightest personality.
Martha is survived by her parents; five daughters Maria (Alberto) Flores, Angelina (Claudio) Salazar, Crystal Lujan, Marissa Lujan and Carmen Ysabella Guerra; two sons Alex Terrazas and Anthony Salazar; three sisters Maria (Isaac) Gonzales, Alicia (Alfredo) Pinon and Sylvia Ann (Rebecca) Garza; two brothers Marcos Garza Jr and Rick (Sheila) Garza; four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, two aunts and five uncles.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by Liturgical Service at 1:30 p.m., Thursday Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment at Evans Cemetery.
