She was born January 12th, 1930 in Greeley, CO, to George and Rosie Prebish.
Martha graduated from Kersey High School and attended one year of nurses training.
On November 3rd, 1949, she married James Klausner.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and James were dry land wheat farmers along with many of their relatives who resided in the South Roggen community. Martha was one of the many farm wives who could whip up a delicious dish from a pound of hamburger and feed 10 people in 15 minutes. She always had some great words of advice such as, “Be a treat, not a treatment” and ready quips like, “We’re off like a herd of turtles!” She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, serving on the Altar and Rosary society.
Martha is survived by two sons and three daughters; one brother; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, one sister, an infant brother, an infant sister, and an infant great grandson.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7pm, Wednesday August 28th; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am, August 29th; both services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roggen, Colorado. A graveside service will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley, Colorado, at 2:30pm, following the funeral on August 29th.
