Martiel Laura Von Feldt

Her family moved to Colorado soon after she was born and lived in Colorado for all her childhood. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1962. She married Victor Von Feldt on December 28, 1964. They started their life together working on a dairy farm and eventually owned a dairy farm in Wheatland, Wyoming for seven years. In 1982, Vic started his own construction business and Marti helped him both with the buildings and in the office.

Marti was the daughter of Reverand Oliver Brock and his wife, Alvera, who served in three American Baptist Churches in Colorado. Marti and her family were members of First Baptist Church in Greeley, Colorado for close to 40 years. Marti served as President of the local American Baptist Women Ministries. She also served in many other jobs in the church and was the White Cross Chairwoman and Editor of CO State ABW Ministries.

Marti was an avid seamstress and made wedding dresses for both of her daughters, nieces and their attendants. She also loved horseback riding, lots of pets, reading, gardening and working alongside her husband.

Marti is survived by her husband, Victor Von Feldt, two daughters, Laura Chilcott and Kimberly (Kym) Mackley (Dave); two grandsons, Dakota Zablow (Emily) and Dylan Zablow (Amber); two sisters, Yvonne Whisenhunt (Ray) and Rosalie Wertz (Del); and many nephews, nieces and their children.

Marti was preceded in death by her parents (1976, 2002) and her brother, Retired Navy Captain LeRoy Brock (2021).

A Celebration of Life for Marti will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and reception to follow at 11:00 a.m. both at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO, 80631.
