Melvin D. Winter

Melvin Dwayne Winter, 87, of Evans, Colorado, passed away on April 19, 2023. Born on August 25, 1935 in Colorado to Fred and Mary Winter. Melvin received his GED for Highland High School in Ault, Colorado. On December 27, 1968 Melvin married Leona Rhoton.

Melvin was a Farmer and a Welder. He spent 2 years enlisted in the Army. Melvin was a devout Christian man; he attended the 23rd Avenue Church in Greeley, Colorado. In his spare time, Melvin like to fish, dutch hop and liked going bowling.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Leona Winter, his sons, Oran Winter, Dustin Winter, Seth (Laura) Winter, Daughter, Ramona Winter, nieces, Lori Winter and Karla Winter, nephews, Ron Winter and Chuck Winter Jr., cousin, Les Winter, grandchildren, Kyle G. (Ciara) Wortley, Jacob (Demy) Winter, Colton Winter, Joey Wilmot. Lastly is his great-granddaughter or “The apple of his eye”, Donna Jo Winter.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Winter, sister, Lillian Schadle, brothers, Wilbert Winter, Kenny Winter, Eddy Winter, Dale Winter and Chuck Winter.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM held at the Allnutt Funeral Service – Macy Chapel, 6521 West 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
