Michael Craig Hays

Michael finished high school in Johnstown in 1980. After graduation he attended and graduated from Aims Community College with an associate’s degree in auto mechanics.

On March 22, 1991, he married Jayne Tjardes at First Christian Church in Greeley, where they also attended church. After their marriage, they lived in Greeley. Michael worked for Phil’s Pro-Auto for many years and Mountain Construction for the past 10 years.

Mike loved to work in the yard and barbeque. He enjoyed cartoons, Mountain Dew and Captain Crunch. He was a caring, generous and kind man. If someone needed help he was there to help them. Mike enjoyed having a good time and had a wonderful sense of humor, but above all was the love for his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jayne; two daughters, Kodi and Kelli Hays both of Evans; his parents, Judy and Al Hays of Greeley; his mother-in-law, Gerre Tjardes of Greeley; two sisters, Vickie Hays-Rayburn (Chris) of Craig and Sue Hays of Casper, Wyoming; one brother, Robert Hays of Gillette, Wyoming and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church.
