The Highland Hills Senior Men's Golf Association want to send condolences from all the members. We are 89 members strong and know that he was one of the pioneers that made golf what is today.  There are quite a few of us that did know him personally.

Dear Julie, Mary, Amy and family  -
I was sad to hear of Mike's passing.  That is a wonderful picture of him....just as I remember him.  As a childhood friend of Mary's, I remember what a great Dad he was for his children.  In reading his obituary, I'm even more impressed.  I appreciate his service in the Navy and think it's awesome that he took pictures of history.  I always had the utmost respect for him.  No doubt he will be missed.  I send you all love, hugs and sympathies. May God comfort and sustain you through this loss. I trust that ""Mr. Marion"" is in God's loving care. I cared for Mike at Grace Pointe & he was quite a stinker sometimes. But then I knew there was a big old Teddy Bear under that tough exterior. I would pester him at the dinner table--he would ask me to dance; then say that's OK I can't dance anyway. I would tease him when I filled him oxygen tank that I had his life in my hands & he would reply--So that means I need to be nice to you??? I would say Do you want to breathe? We bantered constantly.  But he always lit up when he saw me; like he was contemplating what stunt he could pull on me next.  You girls were wonderful daughters & I enjoyed seeing you both. Prayers & blessings to you & your families & give Julie a big hug for me.

My condolences to all of Mike's family, especially Julie. You were my classroom aide at East Memorial early 1990s. God has his arms wrapped around all of you.
