

Mike grew up in Denver, CO where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1977. After high school he met his wife, Wanetta Sue Lewis at the Wellington Broker where he cooked. They married in 1982 in Denver, CO and then moved to Bellvue, CO to raise their first son Jacob Rumley. Mike worked for Colorado Lien for more than 10 years winning several awards for his service and dedication. They were blessed with two more children Cameron Rumley and Brianna Rumley. After surviving and beating cancer he changed careers and worked his way up to become a motorcycle salesman. He excelled in sales and graduated from the Harley-Davidson University. After the accident which left him paralyzed he continued to sell motorcycles at Indian Motorcycles in Fort Collins, CO.
His love for guitar was shared with others as he provided free guitar lessons to those who could not otherwise afford it. He spent countless hours counseling and helping at risk youth to encourage them. He enjoyed many hobbies to include gun collecting, geology and most notably knife making with precious stones and gems.
Michael was preceded in death by his Grandmother Jackie Jenkins, Grandfather Dale Jenkins, Father Jerry Rumley and Mother Elva Rumley.
Michael is survived by his spouse Wanetta Rumley of Bellvue, CO; his sons Jacob Rumley (Lacey, WA) and Cameron Rumley (Loveland, CO) and daughter Brianna Rumley (Greeley, CO), his grandchildren Gabriella and Ava Rumley; his Brothers (William Rumley, John Rumley, Ian Rumley) and his sisters (Katy Kriz, Susan Schultz).
A memorial service will be held at Allnutt Funeral Home (605 West Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO) at 10:00am, Tuesday June 24th, 2014. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at that time. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetary in Denver, CO .
