

Millie was born September 10, 1932 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Paul and Ada Larson. After graduating from East High School in Rockford, she attended North Park College in Chicago, then went on to work at the National Lock Company in Rockford. Millie married Everett Carlson in 1954 at the First Evangelical Covenant Church in Rockford. In 1969, Mille and Everett moved with their two sons, James and Gary, to Loveland, Colorado where Everett had taken a job with Hewlett Packard. She was a member of the Loveland Mountain Club for thirty plus years where she enjoyed hiking and cross country skiing. Millie skied of the major downhill at many of the major western ski areas. She liked fishing with her husband and family in the lakes and streams in Colorado and Wyoming. She also enjoyed the senior ice-skating group at Epic in Fort Collins and walking with her “Heart, Mind, and Soul” walkers every Wednesday with the Seasons Club at McKee Hospital. Millie enjoyed being with all of her friends, sharing a lot of laughter and good times. Millie is survived by her husband Everett and by her son James and his wife Mary. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary, and her brothers Don and Dick Larson.
Burial has taken place, and Memorials services will be held at Allnutt Funeral Home at 11am Thursday, November 2, 2017. Millie and her family would like to thank Pathways Hospice for their wonderful care, also the people of Village Inn, Perkins, and the Egg & I restaurants, as well as our dentist, Dr. Pam Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pathways Hospice. The family would also like to thank friends and neighbors who helped through this time.
