Norman Dale Swanson, 91, of Greeley, CO, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at UC Health Greeley Hospital. Norman was born September 10, 1931 in Milliken, Colorado to Marie (Lindberg) and Albert Sigfried Swanson.
After graduation, Norman served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
Norman enjoyed the outdoors: especially fishing and working in his yard. He made sure to keep his grass pristine green. Norman also enjoyed traveling in his motor home, playing McDonald's Bingo, bowling and any current sports. Norman also loved his dogs, Annie the Pomeranian and Babe the Cocker Spaniel.
Norman is survived by his wife, Juanita Swanson; step-daughters, Paula Ikenouye and Randa (Dale) Blehm; son, Dale (Ramona) Swanson; step-son, Robert (Linda) Dusin; grandchildren, Brittani (Brian) Becker, Kaitlyn Ikenouye, Todd (Jessica) Blehm and Crystal (Eric) Hoffner; three great-grandchildren, Logan Hoffner, TJ Hoffner and Oaklee Blehm and his sister, Joanne.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard "Dick" Swanson.
A Celebration of Norman's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
