Oleta Belle (Meisner) Weber of Eaton died May 16, 2011 at the Life Care Center in Greeley. She passed away surrounded by her family. She was born January 2, 1929 in Windsor to Henry and Mollie (Long) Meisner. On November 27, 1949 she married Harvey L. Weber after meeting him at a youth church function.
Oleta graduated from Gill High School in 1946 and three years later married Harvey. The first 22 years of their marriage they were a farming family, first with
Harvey’s Dad, then on their own until 1953 where they raised their five children. They farmed northeast of Greeley, in Eaton and LaSalle before moving to Greeley in 1971. Oleta worked for Greeley attorney David J. Miller for several years, but ended her career at the Weld County Courthouse and retired as the law librarian in 1994, the last individual to hold this position.
Survivors are her five children: Maynard (Starla) Weber, Loveland; Vicki (Brent) Sandin), Rockford, Washington; Martin (Susan) Weber, Platteville; Valori Weber, Denver; Vonda (Ric) Weber, Evans; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine (Julian) Kler, Greeley; Daun Meisner, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one brother, Art (Marcia) Meisner.
Memorial service will be held Friday, May 20 at 11:00 at Eaton Evangelical Free Church, 1325 3rd Street. Private inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Eaton Evangelical Free Church building fund.
