Pam (as she was called) was vibrant, funny, loving, caring, and nurturing. She was absolutely stunning and the type of person you noticed when she walked into a room. Her smile was captivating and that’s how she captured the heart of her husband Joe when they first met in middle school. They were teenage sweethearts who fell in love young and spent 24 beautiful years together. Pam and Joe raised four beautiful children – two daughters and two sons. She had that natural motherly instinct about her and she loved her kids more than anything, and was a mother to her own kids as well as a mother figure to some of her own family members.
Pam was the type of person that anyone she came in contact with immediately wanted to be around her. She had a warm welcoming feeling about her. She was always willing to help a friend or family member in need and was the first person to open her home to anyone who needed a place to call home. There were no lines between friends and family when it came to Pam because it was all the same to her. Once you became a part of her life you were immediately family. She is loved and missed, but most importantly she will be remembered by all, because she was “the bomb” as well as “the baby”.
She is survived by her husband Joe Mendoza, Jr.; daughters Aspen Villegas and Clorinda Mendoza; sons Joe Mendoza Jr. II and Larry Mendoza; mother Cora (Mike) Voelz; father Julio Villegas; mother-in-law Victoria Bernal (Toby Medina); father –in-law Joe Mendoza (Maggie Maltos); sisters Lisa, Margarita, and Tanya; brother Israel Mendoza; grandmothers Lorraine Recio and Maria Louisa Villegas; sister-in-law, Jennie Mendoza; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a vast majority of friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Mercedes Alize Mendoza; great-grandmother Cora Chavez; and step-father Ernest Archuleta.
