Rebecca Thomasson, 55, was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on March 14, 1969. Rebecca was most recently a resident of Windsor, Colorado. Rebecca passed away on June 16, 2024. Rebecca was a loving wife and Mom who had a true compassion and giving spirit for supporting the needs of others even if they were total strangers through the infinite blessings that had been provided to her. During her brief time on this earth, Rebecca was also involved in the medical and hospice spaces where she supported many with health challenges and comforted those in their final days with dignity and respect. Rebecca also had a deep love and passion for assisting many animals in need by fundraising and finding them the necessary care, medical attention, and shelter they deserved and most importantly, permanent homes in which they would be truly loved.
Rebecca’s family is truly appreciative with the many wonderful actions, multiple phone calls, received cards, sustained condolences, considerate gestures, warm hugs, kind words, continuing prayers, and thoughtful texts that have been received from colleagues, communities, family, friends, and neighbors. These show truly how much Rebecca was loved and positively impacted others.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her grandmother Lenora White, her dad Billy Woods, and her father-in-law Ed Thomasson.
The family respectfully requests those who want to continue celebrating and honoring Rebecca’s life and purpose to help others in need to please donate to the following causes and organizations in her name:
• Any local animal shelter to assist all fur babies in need
• Union County (Arkansas) Animal Protection Society (UCAPS) at https://www.ucapsshelter.org
• Lupus Foundation of America at https://lupus.org
Rebecca’s family expresses its deepest gratitude to the entire Stoddard Funeral Home/Dignity Memorial staff for their empathy, kindness, and love during this time and taking the best care of her.
