Please accept our condolences. Over the years Swede was a very good friend. He will be missed. We shared a passion for nice, and FAST cars not just when we were younger.
He picked me to drive his nitro fueled Chevrolet engine dragster I think mainly because I weighed about seventy pounds less than him. Less weight = faster.

Scott, Betty and I send our condolences to you and your family. Although most of my memories of when you lived on 25 th Ave are of you playing in our yard and leaving all kinds of wraps along the way. I recall a conversation with Swede selling me on how important pride of ownership was. In this case he was telling me all of the special features that I would build my pride in one of his motor homes. Prior to that conversation I looked at a car as just a car. He opened my eyes that there is something more to owning a nice car or motor home!!

While Arlene worked for Swede, her daughter Kathi and I would come to his LaSalle shop after school.  Swede contributed so much to the LaSalle, Greely and Weld County Communities and to so many lives.   Thank you for sharing Swede with those whom he touched.

Swede always had a smile whenever I would stop in to say ""hi"" to him at Grace Pointe.  One day he looked a little ""guilty"" when I stepped into his room and I said, ""Swede, what are you up too?""  He just grinned and looked at me with the cutest look on his face, looking down at the floor.........there were M and M'S all over the floor!  He looked like ""the cat who ate the mouse"" at that very moment!!!  I will always cherish those Swede smiles from stopping in to say ""hi"" to him!!!  He was always so pleasant.  His biggest smile was always saved for Bev when she would walk into his room!!!!  Such precious friends they became to me and my family.  We are so sorry for your loss, Bev. Dear Stan, Carol and Scott,
Our condolences to your family at hearing of the loss of your Dad.  The Ehrlich family has always been my other family!  In working for Swede for 35 years plus I was always treated with nothing but respect, kindness and love.  This was a great part of Bob and my life's.
Bob remembers going drag racing with Swede and having to push start his pride and joy race car.  He earned respect from all the competion and was a master at fine tuning his dragster just by the sound of the engine.
Also last, a fellow member of my confirmation class from the German church.
Our family is in Mexico until the end of March.

Dear Family,
Swede's friendship is something I will forever cherish.  I have many memories of Swede, from his dragster days to his farming days.  My favorites dealt with his farm, where he loved to spend some of his retirement time. 
 Swede would stop in to the feedlot and we would discuss everything before talking about the dirt from his pond on the farm north of the feedlot.   I would hear about how the expenses were about to ruin the farm, then he would patiently listen to how the feedlot industry is suffering and cattle prices were lower again this year....Finally we would agree on a price for his dirt delivered to our site.  It was always a fair deal that we enjoyed making.  I will miss those conversations and his mild mannered approach to our dealings and relationship.

So sorry to read that Swede had passed on. He was a trend setter and a real spark plug in our community. He offered me great advice when I started my business. He said, ""Rick, stick with Datsuns, you won't regret it"". And I never did. He was a great man.

We were so sorry to learn of Swede's passing.  We had the pleasure of seeing Swede almost everyday for the past four years. He and my father shared a table for each meal at Grace Pointe. My father was heartbroken to learn he had lost a good friend.  He will be missed.  Our thoughts are with you.
