Richard attended schools in Galeton and Greeley, CO. He served with the Marine Corps in the Korean War from 1952-1954 in Japan and Korea. He was in construction and farming. He built nursing homes in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.
Richard had a brain aneurism on October 1, 1993 and was unconscious until November 22, 1993. After he regained consciousness, he was sent to a nursing home where he stayed until January 1994 when he moved to the Villa.
Richard has three children, Rick, Mike and Cheri.
No services are planned, cremation followed by burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery will take place.
