Bob was born on September 1, 1944 in Oakland, California to Robert and Thelma (Cass) Fulton, Sr. Shortly after, they moved to Fairfield, Iowa where his father’s family lived and farmed. These were some of his fondest memories. They later moved back to California and then to Colorado to be closer to his mother’s family.
He was married to Sally Hunt. They had a daughter, Lori, and later divorced. In 1975, he married Annette ‘Annie’ Takahashi. They had 2 sons - Todd and Judd.
Bob pursued several different occupations until he achieved what he really wanted to do. He loved to fish and was determined to have his own business - a bait and tackle shop. This resulted in The Bait Box in Greeley. He enjoyed visiting with the customers who came into the shop. Many fishing stories were exchanged. He made a lot of the tackle that was sold in the shop and to other shop owners. He was always complimented on the quality of his work.
Survivors include his wife, Annie, daughter Lori Rutledge of Parker, son Todd (Jarae) Fulton of Eaton, grandchildren Jordan Rutledge, Ben, Emi, and Drew Fulton, sister Pam (Mike) Cooper, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Judd, and parents Robert and Thelma Fulton, Sr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Judd Fulton Scholarship Fund at bit.ly/Judd-donate through the Weld Community Foundation.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
