May this bring peace to the both us...
Although we didn't see each other every day, it was a blessing having you as a resident. I always enjoyed our chats when you'd visit me in the office. 
Itâ???Ts hard not saying goodbye through words or the simple gesture of a smile. I never expected you to leave so soon, but when the Lord calls, we must go.
I've felt such sorrow since that day. My heart filled with such despair as I stood there wondering why why why. I play back the day and each moment in it, over and over; I'm so very sorry Rodney, I wish I wasn't sitting here in my office writing this to you, but I needed you to know.. I felt you there waiting for peace and I pray you have found it and are resting in it my friend. I pray you are resting in it. The picture above is a good one! I want to remember you with a smile and this picture of you brought so much comfort to me. 
Your mom came to Colorado, I was hoping to meet her while she was here, but didn't get the chance. I heard from the office staff she is the sweetest lady with a heart of gold...just like you said. Maybe one day, I will call her and tell her about the Son I knew.
Rodney, you were always a kind and gentle man and will forever be missed by me. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
