Ruth Virginia Nickerson died on December 26th 2015. She was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 28th 1925, the daughter of George F. Campbell and Rozella Mae Gay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 ¾ years Ronald L. Nickerson. Ruth is survived by a son, Gary L. Nickerson (Marcia) of Alton Bay, New Hampshire and a son Wayne R. Nickerson (Judy) of Fort Collins, Colorado. Ruth had two grandchildren – Matthew Wayne Nickerson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Christy Nickerson-Little (Brody) of Volant, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by three sisters – Janice Fitzgerald of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Marilyn Collins of Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada and Patricia Frey (Richard) of Kersey, Pennsylvania. In her last 6 years of life she lived in the glow of six great grandsons by birth or marriage: Liam, Finnegan, Oliver, Shea, Leo and Parker.
Ruth was a home maker and later served as a secretary at Lexington Christian Academy in Massachusetts and the Alton Bay Camp Meeting Association in New Hampshire. She was actively involved in the life of the church and had a deep and personal faith in Jesus Christ.
