Ruth Marie Peterson

Ruth Marie (Sansom) Peterson, 100 of Greeley, died June 29, 2018 in Greeley, CO. Ruth was born August 3, 1917 in La Salle, CO, to Sam and Lieta (Moehrle) Sansom. She married Arthur E. Peterson, M.D. He died in 1989.

Mrs. Peterson attended Greeley Schools and graduated from Greeley High School. After her graduation she attended Greeley Commercial College, graduating with a degree in Business. After her graduation she was employed by Radio Station KFKA in Greeley for five years, and worked as a legal secretary in a Greeley law firm for six years. She was then employed by the Department of Social Services for thirty four years, retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Peterson was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greeley and the Women’s Group of the church. She was a former member of the Greeley Woman’s Club and Friends of the U.N.C. Library.

Ruth loved animals, loved to decorate her home, and was very close to her friends and immediate family.

She is survived by her two Great-Nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 10, 2018, at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville.
