

Sadie "Sandy" B. Silverman, age 87, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Sandy was born in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Dewey and Ola (Revels) Knox. She was the only girl, with five older brothers.
After graduating from high school, Sandy moved to Hawaii where she was a nanny for a couple of years. She worked for a time as a CNA at the Trinidad Hospital in Colorado, and spent many years working as an underwriter for an insurance company.
Sandy was extremely adventurous, and was passionate about seeing the world. She traveled extensively around Europe, Vietnam, Turkey, and even had a home in Mexico. Sandy lived in New Mexico for quite a few years, and enjoyed having horses, goats, and many other animals to care for. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed watching Westerns.
Sandy was a really hard worker; always on the go, but her most cherished time was spent with her family.
Sandy is survived by her son, Ray Copple, and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Sheila Mayeda, and husband, Ryan; brothers, William Knox; George Knox, and wife, Lenore; Frank Knox, and wife, Betty; as well as six grandchildren, Jade, Sydney, Mikayla, Anthony, Makyla, and Asher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Ola Knox, her husband, William A. Silverman; and brothers, Dwayne and Floyd Knox.
She will be placed with her mother at Hillside cemetery in Fort Lupton at a later date.
