I met Scott as a kid growing up in Junction City. I still remember the good times we had. Getting up those early Saturday mornings to go shoot at the gun club. Scott always scored high with his shooting. We had some good times camping & fishing on the Republican River. Scott was the kind of guy you just enjoyed being around. I can truly thank the Lord for allowing us to cross paths in this life. With deepest sympathy

I just learned about Scott's passing.  I am so sorry!  I've known and talked w/Scott for probably 10 years now.  He was a wonderful person and a good friend.  Last I talked w/him, he said he was doing great.  I feel so bad that I didn't know.  His warm, caring nature will sorely be missed by his cherished kids and....his friends.  Please accept my belated, sincerest condolences.

I was shocked to see his obituary in the Junction City KS paper tonight Sept 2009. I still can't believe it. Scott and I used to run the streets of Junction City KS, we grew up in Westwood, two streets apart. While I was two years older than Scott, he was part of our crew as we drag raced Washington Street, searched for beer parties at Milford Lake, chased girls all over the county and lived life to it's fullest. We had a great time growing up, and he was just a nice guy. Last time I saw you was when Cliff and Amber got married, we had a beer together and celebrated your brothers happiness. I can't believe you're gone. I was we had stayed in touch. I just learned one of your best buds from high school, Hiram Torres also passed recently. I'm glad I got to know you guys, I'll always remember the great times we had. Rest in peace my brother, we'll miss you.

The times we talked with Scott - he was never on the ""pitty pot"".
He did not dwell on his illness and instead wanted to ""catch up"".
What a HUGE loss this is for anyone who knew him. 
We don't expect you 3 kids to remember us - but your dad brought you by a couple times when you were back here in Ks. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was shocked to hear of Scotts passing ........ Scott and I roomed together when we were @ Salina Area Vo-tech. We had a great time and shared lots of laughs together w/ Greg one of his best friends. If anyone can, let me know what happened. My condolences go out to the family. Scott was a great person w/ a great heart for everyone he meet, but we all know that. Why the good ones go early?

It's been a long time since I saw Scott last, but I carry a soft spot in my heart for him. He was always so kind to me and a lot of fun to be around. When I remember him, it is always with a huge smile on his face.

One of  the last of the  truly  nice  guys..I    never  knew  him  to  even have a  single  bad  day..He was a  real  upper  influence... He  was  fun  to  work  with.......  He was  very  talented....he  shall be missed

I am shocked at the loss of my friend Scott. I just saw the obituary in the paper and I am still in disbelief.
Scott was a kind soul who I first met when our kids were growing up together in the 90s. He was always a positive and caring person who would do anything to try to help you out. I will miss his gentle ways and his wonderful outlook on life. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude even when times were tough. His laugh was infectious and just made you feel good to be around him.
Kids were everything to Scott. Everytime I would run into him he would always take the time to fill me in on what all the kids were doing and how proud he was of them. 
His legacy will be his sons Colby and Garrett and daughter Morgan, who can always feel secure in the fact that he loved them dearly and was proud of the young adults they were becoming.
