I am so very sorry to hear about your father and husband, I remember when i was a teenager countless days i spent with your family and steve he was like a father to me  and introduced me to asparagus (lol )  and i cant even express how saddened i was to find out about your loss. I hope to see you soon and pay my respect the correct way.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. My husband & I learned of the shocking news of Steve's passing while enroute to a family reunion July 9th. Our own untimely loss of my brother the week after the reunion has delayed offering some sympathy to you.
I had the good fortune to meet Steve, fondly referred to as Reno, when my coffee shop opened for business next to Supermarket Liquors. Reno & I would swap stories of PA, as my family was from the Philadelphia area also. He always spoke fondly of his family and how retirement allowed him the luxury of spending more time with your grandchildren. 
I hope you and your children are holding up as well as possible given the situation. You are in my thoughts.

A note from my father (Dave Finnman):
It is with the heaviest heart that we write to you on Steve being called home to God.  Our condolences are from the bottom of our hearts, we mourn with you in your loss.
The friendship with Steve began at least 30 years ago.  We were fortunate enough to have Steve sew a seed with us that blossomed into at least a fraction of his passion for wine, food, family, and life.  Whenever our travels brought us back ""home "" to Colorado, Steve was usually the first one I called to arrange for some golf, and wine shopping, to share with family.
Through our conversations, I know that family was the most important part of his life.  Steve was a special person, a special friend, and God has a special place for him in His kingdom.  Each time we have a meal paired with a wine I think Steve would approve of, it will be a joyful remembrance of him.
