Steven Eugene Petersen

Steve is survived by his wife, Terrill Anne “Terri” Burbridge; his stepson, Kenneth Ross Burbridge Berends; and his sister, Carol Gehrke. He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence V. Petersen and Vila Pearl (Peter) Petersen; and his sister, Shirley Shelton.

Steve was born in Geneva, Nebraska, on August 28, 1952. He graduated from Loveland High School and went on to Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Steve learned the construction trade from his father, Lawrence. He began his business, Petersen Construction in 1993, building and remodeling many homes in Northern Colorado.

On September 20, 1994, Steve and Terri exchanged rings in a private common-law wedding ceremony.

Steve was a devoted husband to Terri and an avid fisherman, as well as a gifted, meticulous craftsman on his many building projects.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, on June 10, 2017 at Allnutt Funeral Home Reception Center, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
