Steven Leslie Smith

Steven Leslie “Steve” Smith, 68, of Pierce, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. Steve was born on June 2, 1947 in Eaton to Leslie Elbert and Marjorie (Williams) Smith.

Steve was raised in Eaton and graduated from Eaton High School in 1965. Steve married Brenda Martindale. She passed away in 1995. They had one son, Eric. He then married Sally Trumble on October 16, 1998.

Steve worked as an electrician all of his life. He worked at Kodak for 15 years and then went on to work at Boulder Scientific, where he retired.

Steve was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed playing card games online, especially Euchre, fishing, woodworking, camping at Big Ben-Chamber Lake, and hunting elk and deer. He was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sally; daughter, Shannon Smith; two sons, Eric Smith and Sean Smith; mother, Marjorie Smith; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who were loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie, first wife, Brenda and sister, Linda.

A Memorial Service will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. The family is requesting that you wear your Broncos or Rockies jerseys in honor of Steve.
