

Tim was born on January 17, 1951 to E. George and Florence (Reeves) Waddingham in Denver, Colorado. Tim completed elementary, junior and senior high schools in the Denver Public Schools. He graduated from George Washington High school in 1969. Tim followed the family path and enrolled in what is now known as the University of Northern Colorado to pursue a degree in elementary education. He graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1973 . He later earned a Master’s of Education.
After graduation, Tim became a teacher in Denver Public Schools as a fifth grade teacher. After two years he joined the Jefferson County School District as a second grade teacher. He taught second grade for the remainder of his career. In Jefferson County he worked at Juchem, Pennington and Zerger Elementary Schools. Tim was a dedicated teacher who cared sincerely about this students, their parents, and his colleagues. Tim received many accolades as a teacher. He received a district award for Outstanding Performance. When technology was first introduced in schools, Tim was recognized for his efforts in implementing the use of computers. He shepherded school staff in the use of computers and engaged his young students in the power of technology. Tim was also active in the Colorado Council of Teachers of Math serving as co-coordinator of media / technology for annual and national conferences.
Tim retired in 2003 after 31 years as a teacher. In retirement, Tim continued his role as a talented “fixer” for family and friends. Everyone knew he could fix or would learn how to fix everything from sprinkler systems to cars. Tim loved photography. He was known as the “man with the camera” capturing photos of weddings, birthdays, and numerous trips with his parents. Tim worked for a time as photographer at the Denver Nuggets’ home games for an online magazine. Tim devoted thousands of hours as a volunteer for The ROUND PANTRY at Westview Presbyterian Church for 11 ½ years.
Tim was predeceased by his father, mother, and brothers-in-law Dennis Hurianek and Jim Morganfield. He is survived by sisters Nancy Hurianek and Beth Morganfield; nieces and nephews Nate Hurianek, Noah and Sarah Hurianek, and Emily Hurianek, Andrew Sweeney, Joshua and Jessica Morganfield ; grand-niece and grand-nephews Lauren Hurianek, Lucas Hurianek, and Daniel Donnacha Hurianek Sweeney.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Westview Presbyterian Church located at 1500 Hover Street, Longmont, CO. A reception to celebrate Tim will be held after the memorial. To honor Tim, and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The ROUND PANTRY at Westview Presbyterian Church.
