My prayers are with the Haffner and Covington families.  I only learned of Tracy's passing moments ago through an e-mail.  I was priviledged to know Tracy through our year together in Up With People and all the times our paths crossed since then. I cannot think of Tracy without smiling myself. The sound of her laughter and the vision of her radiant smile has been forever imprinted in my memory as well as in the memory of those lucky enough to have known her. I was so happy that her work (training new staff for On the Border) brought her to Phoenix where I was able to share her with my family for one brief evening. I tried to describe Tracy to my wife...but you had to have the experience of meeting Tracy to understand.  She was so very happy and proud of her family! 
To many of us, she was already an Angel! We love you Tracy.

Ah my Tracy, I just want to thank you, Derek & the kids for being my friend.  How lucky I am.  I believe God brought us together since needed a birthday buddy and someone to help me after my parents died.  You helped make my life easier, helped me with my grief after I lost my wonderful Mom.  I miss calling you, who will I bug now?

Like so many others, I remember your smile, and your welcoming eyes.
I still have the card you gave to me the day I left the cast. Your words of unconditional friendship and encouragement bouyed me in that tough time of transition. I'm thankful for the time we got to talk in Dallas a couple years ago and that I was able to convey this to you in person. And you still smiled at me with that bright, wattage smile and those welcoming eyes.
And though we didn't know each other well, I'm grateful to have been touched by your effervescent spirit.

I reach out from a far to Tracy's family at this very sad time.  My thoughts and prayers are with you now, particularly to Tracy's husband and children.
Tracy - you are such a very special person.  I remember your wonderful, radiant energy which powerfully impacted upon those of us who were lucky enough to travel with you as cast members in Up With People.  Our lives have been enriched because of you.  We will always remember you wherever in the world we are living now.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tracy for nearly 35 years and it is my honor to be able to call her my friend.  We worked the front counter at Dairy Queen together (!) and many notes were passed (on the back of our order pads) between us - all while we were supposed to be working!  :o)  I will miss her smile, and her ever positive gentle nature. I was so sad to hear about Tracy's passing.  I remember her from Columbine high school.  She was always lauging, smiling and always very gentle and kind. Tracy was one of those people that everyone admired and loved in Up With People cast E 82. She had an infectious smile that never seized that could literally penetrate those around her.I always felt good...happy when I was with Tracy. How could anyone not be.She was simply amazing in her ability to put a smile on your face right along with her.I will always remember ""our"" adorable Tracy.

We are so sorry about Tracy.  Thinking about her just brings a smile to our face.  I remember when Jonathan and Sean played soccer together.  I looked forward to the practices so Tracy and I could sit and visit.  She was a beautiful person and we were blessed to have known her.
When a loved one passes away we know in our hearts that they are perfect now.  God is taking good care of Tracy.  She has no more pain, sorrow or sadness.  The difficult part is for those left behind.  Treasure those memories and know that someday you will all be together again.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

She would light up a room. My good friend Becky Watkins/Bregy kept me up to date with Tracy's brave  battle with her illness over the years. Thinking of Tracy brings to mind beautiful smiles, contagious laughter and an amazing heart full of love and kindness.  She had a mischievous side as well with a wonderful   sense of humor. She lit up rooms when she entered them and she always made everyone she met feel like they were the only person in the room with her.  We were blessed to spend a wondrous year with her. Her family had her longer yet for too short a time.  Tracy loved with all of her heart, remember that, and know that love like hers will always surround the people she loved.  We are praying for her family....and I know Tracy is still praying for you too.

Up With People, Cast E82, was sweeter because of Tracy.  I hope you can feel the love we send from around the globe.

I've logged on to Tracy's guest book twice and read all the wonderful words everyone has written; but feel like this makes it so final when I write something down.  So I can't imagine what you and the kids are feeling Derek - just know that there are so many of us praying for you and crying with you and lifting you up to God! It is hard to believe that the world has lost one of its few real angels. Heaven has gained what we have lost. I am so sorry for your loss, but she is never far from you just look in your hearts and minds and she is there.

We carry so many wonderful memories of the times we had with Tracy. Although we have not been back to Colorado for many years, she was always in our thoughts and prayers. Diagnosed around the same time as Karen, they were long distance inspirations for one another. We pray for you all in this difficult time. Tracy is now home and smiling down at each and every one of us. We will miss you.

I share your loss, along with the many other members of the Up with People community who remember Tracy with love.  While I believe she is at peace with our Lord, I know those who love her will miss her greatly. God be with her loving husband, children, and entire family.

Tracy was and has been an inspiration to so many of us. How quickly we all became ""family!""  Tracy and I became friends just as quickly as our daughters did.  It's hard for me to even remember my life without her, and it's even harder for me to imagine what life will be like for all of us without her here on earth.  However, I know that she will always be with us in our hearts and our memories.  I know we will all be reunited one day.  I'm at peace knowing that Tracy is now finally wearing the angel wings she so earned! We feel so blessed to have known Tracy over the past 10 years.  She truly was a shining star to all who knew her and were in her space. I am so saddend to hear of Tracy's passing, but am grateful she no longer suffers. She was a good friend to my sister Melinda at CHS and I always remember Tracy being positive and happy. Tracy was an inspiration and an amazing friend. She always had time to listen; and always with such care. Her smile and her laugh were so contagious; she was such a joy to be around!! I am sorry to learn of Tracy's passing. Her energy, sweetness, and dedication to friends greatly enhanced my senior year of high school. Tracy was an anchor for me in high school. We had such fun times and I am privileged to have been her friend. The world is a dimmer place without Tracy Jean. I know she is in heaven, whole and healed and I will laugh and smile with her again. She is already missed by so many whose lives she made brighter.
