

Wayne Francis Ward, 84, of Greeley, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Life Care Center of Greeley. Wayne was born on January 15, 1930 in Cleburne, Texas to Frank Marion and Lorene (Conner) Ward.
Wayne was married in 1950 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Mary Ellen Wicker. He was also activated in the U.S. Marines Reserve on August 1, 1950 for the Korean War. He was discharged in 1953. He returned to Ft. Worth and became a retail appliance salesman in Hobby, New Mexico and Monal. In 1965, he became a wholesale appliance salesman for Motorola Dist. in Albuquerque, New Mexico and later Philco Ford, covering the state of New Mexico. In 1974, he moved to Greeley to represent Amana Distribution for northern Colorado, southern Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle.
Wayne’s hobbies included, building, wood working and making frames for Mary’s paintings.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Ward of Greeley; sons, Lindon (Teresa) of Greeley and Keith (Jeanne) of California; daughter-in-law, Mary P. Ward (Johnson) and husband, Mark of Boulder; grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Angela, Allison, Alicia, Derek, Chelsea, Levi and Megan and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, Joan, brother-in-law, Stanley and son, Lee Francis Ward.
