Frosty and I are thinking about all of you.  We so enjoyed Uncle
Bill's e-mails and it was such a good way to keep in touch. We really looked forward to his e-mails.

There is something special about ""Uncle Bills"" -- our family will really miss this Uncle Bill. We've shared many stories about him at our house these past few days.  Our hearts to out to all of you.  God Bless.

Dear Berta & Family,
  Please know that our thougts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your husband and father, Bill.  We didn't know him well, but knew he was a friendly and caring person.  You have a wonderful family to lean on for support and we are grateful for your friendship.

Dear Berta,  We are so sorry to hear of your loss.  You and Uncle Bill are one of those rare couples that when I think of you, I see Uncle Bill. And when I think of Uncle Bill, I see you.  Just can't have one without the other.  And I can hear the distinctive laugh you both have right now - and I am so sorry he left this world.  My Dad told me that  Gayle and Bill were there - with you and their Dad.  Very hard but very precious you were able to be together.  It's hard to grasp that all of my Grandma & Grandpa Riegel's children have left us.  Your loss is so great.  I admired Uncle Bill - so much respect for him - for his sobriety.  I'm sure there are countless people he inspired - he walked the walk - and lived the truth that a good life and great love could be the reward of 12 steping.
