Willis was raised and educated in the Stoneham and Willard areas. He entered the United States Navy, serving in World War II in the South Pacific Theatre. After his discharge he returned to Colorado. On November 22, 1952, he married Jean Reiman at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley. She died on April 24, 2003.
Willis was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent De Paul and the Greeley Elks No. 809, BPOE. He worked for King Lumber Company in Greeley for 3 ½ years and at Meadow Gold Dairy for 32 years as a route supervisor.
Willis and Jean bought their farm in 1965 and enjoyed it for many years. They loved camping and taking fishing trips. Willis played golf as much as he could after retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Pollart (Bob) of Padroni, Colorado; two sons, Tim Kramer (Jo) of Kersey and Thad Kramer (Deb) of Greeley; brothers, Robert Kramer (JoAnn) of Fort Lupton and Herb Kramer (Jean) of Greeley; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ambrose and Al and his identical twin brother, Wilber and sisters, Mary Ann Kramer, Alma Erger, Theresa Burke and Patricia Mackey.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
