Andrew James “AJ” Hamm, 38, of Noblesville formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2020.
Born January 28, 1982 in Greencastle, the son of Steven James Hamm and Jo Ellen & Bruce Cook. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 2001” and attended Vincennes University majoring in Fire Science.
AJ belonged to the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and was a member of the Madison Township Fire Department.
AJ had worked at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and Micronutrients in Indianapolis.
He loved hunting, fishing, wood carving and drawing. He enjoyed nature and family gatherings.
AJ is survived by a son, Logan Hamm and Logan’s mother, Nicole Douglass; his parents, Jo Ellen and Bruce Cook; sisters, Marli (Matt) Emenhiser, and Kyla (Jason) Penrod; brothers, Kevin (Chelsea) Cook and Kelcy (Brittaney) Cook; two nieces, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven James Hamm; and grandparents, William & Dolores Earl, Jim & Wanda Hamm, and Virgil & Wanda Cook.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Forest Hill Cemetery with inurnment to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of AJ to the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department 4271 W. Co. Rd. 125 S. Greencastle, IN 46135.
