Betty Imogene Cox

Betty was born in Tangier on September 10, 1936, the daughter of Paul and Lucinda (Adams) McMahan and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker, and had worked at Old Trail Inn and IBM .

Survivors include four daughters, Cinda Lynn Davis, Greencastle, Kathy Ann (Ronald)Tucker of Danville, Pamela Kay(Dan) Rose of Independence, Wisconsin, and Kimberly Diane (Tony) Barker of Pittsboro; a son Dale Lee(Myra) Cox Jr. of Roachdale; two sisters, Sue Jordan, and Nancy Hensley; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 55 years Dale Lee Cox.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 2 P.M. Hopkins Rector Funeral Home with Ronald Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery West of Morton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Betty loved gardening; but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
