Connie Kay Phillips

Connie was born in Tolono, Illinois on February 6, 1946, the daughter of Edward Wayne and Gladys Mae (Libka) Johnson, and was a graduate of Urbana High School in Urbana, Illinois.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Grace Tabernacle in Orleans, Indiana. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Norman L. Phillips, Mitchell; a daughter, Carrie B. Augusta (husband-Michael L.), Bainbridge; a son, Curtis L. Phillips, Bloomington; two brothers, Gene Johnson, (wife-Barb), Clermont, Florida, and Jim Johnson, (wife-Beverly), Urbana, Illinois; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Nolan Augusta, both of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gary Johnson.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
