Eddie Joe Carmichael

Eddie Joe Carmichael, 65, of Greencastle passed away early Monday Morning April 30, 2018, at Waters of Greencastle. Eddie was born in Greencastle on March 14, 1953, the son of Wilbur and Marilynn (Herbert) Carmichael, and was a graduate of South Putnam High School; “Class of 71”. At the beginning of his work career, Mr. Carmichael worked at the Stop ‘n Shop on the Square with his father and grandfather. Afterwards, he began work at Charlie Jenkins Standard Gas Station, before working at Hoffa Security retiring after 20 years of service. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Coffey, (husband-Bob), Cedar Park, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Hopkins Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Brattian officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 or one hour prior to time of service Friday.
