Eldon Proctor

Born March 26, 1927 in Bainbridge, he was the son of Jasper and Stella (Lewellan) Proctor and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1945”. He married Virginia (Clifford) Proctor on September 23, 1950 and she preceded him in death on June 4, 2006.

Eldon had retired from IBM and previously worked at Maplehurst and Allisons. He had also farmed for several years. He was an avid golfer and “snowbird”, having spent several winters in Sebring, FL with his wife.

He is loved and survived by his family, son, Ronald E. (Jody) Proctor of Greencastle; daughters, Cathy S. Proctor of Greencastle and Vicky L. Proctor of Plainfield; brother, Leo (Wilma) Proctor of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Beck, Ronnie (Amy) Proctor, and Jessica (Cory) Tinsley and six great grandchildren, Katey and Erynn Beck, Bailey, Saydee, and Codie Proctor, and Caden Tinsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Ivan, Edwin, Lois, and Gerald Proctor; and four sisters, Mary, Eula, Esta Proctor and Elva Christie.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
