I and my children always looked forward to attending Chef Miller's cooking classes at the Huntington Gardens.  He was a fun, inspiring and exceptional teacher and we are deeply saddened to hear of his passing.

I am a Master Gardener and was a student in Chef Miller's preservation classes. I moderate a school garden and use the knowledge I gained to preserve our garden bounty for the students and their families. Thank you Chef Ernie. You have positively touched more people than you can ever know.

I had the distinct honor of playing ukulele and singing Hawaiian songs and a Disney selection at Ernie's memorial at LDS Rosemead.  He was a beau ideal high achiever and was truly loved by all.  May he have a good journey.  Johnny Kealoha

I enjoyed several classes under Ernie's instruction and was always enlightened and delighted with the breadth of knowledge about food and preserving and blessed to be on the receiving end of his generosity to share that knowledge. The OC Fair will NEVER be the same. I will miss our daily BS sessions and his infectious smile!! And his  the Orange County Fair Foooooddiieeeeess. And his intro of me,the wizard of watermelon, the sorcerer supreme of squash, and on and on.
