

She was born July 16, 1930 to Frank Earl Kerr and Mary Pearl Carmichael Kerr, at their farm near Bridgeton. She graduated from Bridgeton High School and soon after began working as a telephone operator in Rockville.
She married her husband of 46 years, James Max McGrannahan, on October 29, 1955. Max predeceased her on May 17, 2001. Together they were members of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, joining in 1968. They were deeply involved in the church in many capacities. The Fillmore United Methodist Women's group was especially near and dear to her heart.
Fredia enjoyed sewing and crochet, making clothing, doll clothes, afghans, Halloween costumes, baby clothing and more over the years. Her true love was hand-quilting, making many quilts for her family, including her sisters, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She even won first place ribbons at the Putnam County and Indiana State Fairs for her beautiful handmade quilts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings Cleora May Wagoner Harvey, Albert Oren Kerr, Eleanor 0. Hartman, and William J. Kerr. Surviving are her daughters Jane Miller (Chris) and Linda Roberson (Sam). Also surviving are her grandchildren Daniel, Grant, Stefanie, Patrick and Colleen, and great-grandchildren Avalynn, Emerson, Maxton, Jetson, Aiden, Maverick, Carter and Wyatt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families as well as several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 am until time of service.
