James Alfred Price

James was born in Dabney, Kentucky on October 25, 1930, the son of Ira Thomas and Mary Stella (French), Price, and was a graduate of Eubanks High School in Kentucky.

Mr. Price was a farmer for most of his life. He also sold farm equipment for many years. James was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Greencastle, and a Past President and former member of Greencastle Rotary Club.

Survivors include two sisters, Fylma Blanch Brewer, Lafayette, and Lois Irene Douglas, (Marvin), Greencastle; a daughter-in-law, Vinny Price, Coatesville; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verna Lillian Price; and two sons, Tom Price and Jerry Price.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Evangelist Curtis Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
