He was born April 22, 1969 in Greencastle the son of John and Joyce (Hayman) Sage.
James has been a machine operator with IAC for three years. He was an avid sprint car fan attending every Saturday night race at Lincoln Park in Putnamville and traveling around Indiana to races for Sprint Week.
He is survived by his wife, Donna C. (Priest) Sage; children, April (Alex) Evans and Todd Cain; brothers, Jerry Sage (companion, Teri Clark) and Jeff Sage (companion, Brandy Hauser); and three grandchildren, Adalynn, Hazel, and Everly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Sage.
Due to Indiana State Regulations Private Services will be held at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
