

Born February 28, 1927 in Indianapolis, he was the son of James H. and Helen Violet (Oakden) White and was a graduate of Mount Comfort High School “Class of 1945” He married Helen Marie Frost on November 25, 1949.
He was a United States Army Veteran having served in WWII in Fukuoka, Japan.
Johnny had lived in Mooresville, Danville, Fillmore and Brick Chapel where they operated their dairy farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Helen; sister & brother-in-law Evelyn & Donald Blue; brother-in-law Norman Frost; and sister-in-law Betty Burks.
Johnny is survived by his son Douglas (Becky) White; daughters Janice (Phillip) Fry and Jeanette (Mark) Hammer; grandchildren Jamie (Chester) White Hembree,Richard (Beth) White, Marcy (Daniel) Hammer Gallagher, James (Heather) Hammer, Matthew (Ann) Fry, Jessica (Aaron) Fry Jennings, and Kristen (Jordan) Fry Stafford; great grandchildren Margaret & Teresa Gallagher, Henry & Ruthie White, George & Betsy Fry, Lucas & Eliza Hammer, Brecken & Maelynn Stafford, and Bronte & Creede Jennings; sisters –in-law Mildred (Hubert) Sims and Ann (Harry) Porter: and special friend Marie Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
