He was born March 10, 1942 in Norwalk, Ohio, the son of Theodore Fredrick and Ruth Elizabeth (Lutts) Tesmer and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1960”.
Jerry was a self- employed carpenter, doing custom carpentry and had recently retired from Pershing and Company, CPAS
He was a member of Connections Community Church and a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marcia C. (Woods) Tesmer; children, Dave (Carla) Tesmer, Mark (Cathy) Tesmer, Tim (Kim) Tesmer, Matt (Crystal) Tesmer and Joy (Brian) Pershing; brothers, Daniel (Charmaine) Tesmer and John Tesmer; sisters, Judy (Chuck) Foster and Mary Tesmer; 12 grandchildren; five great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Stephen Keith and Paul Samuel Tesmer; sisters, June Weed and Barbara Williams; and a brother, Ted Tesmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the First Baptist Church 404 Judson Drive Greencastle, IN. Interment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 22nd at the church and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
