Jimmie Gene Clifford

Jimmie Gene Clifford, 81, of Bainbridge, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Born October 16, 1937 in Greencastle, the son of Layton and Lola (Furney) Clifford and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1956”
Jimmie retired from farming and went to work for the Walmart Store and Distribution Center, retiring after 26 years. He was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church; the Bainbridge Lions Club; an avid golfer and member of the Hickory Hills Golf Course. He was also a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clifford; son, David (wife, Melanie) Clifford; daughter, Beth Ann Funk; brother, Jack (wife, Charlene) Clifford; ex son-in-law, Christopher Todd Funk; 2 sister in-laws Virginia (husband Paul) Gould, and Mary (husband Joe) Walker; a brother in-law, Steve (wife Becky) Richards; grandchildren, Marissa (husband, Joel) Bustin and Joshua L. Clifford; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Proctor; and a niece Susan Diane Clifford.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
