Joseph Paul Harrell Sr.

Joseph Paul Harrell Sr., 82 of Greencastle passed away Wednesday May 20, 2020, at the Waters of Greencastle. Joseph was born in Indianapolis on July 18, 1937, the son of Marcus and Bertha (Liar) Harrell. Mr. Harrell proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for 31 years with the Owen County Highway Department. Joseph was a member of the NRA and Soul Harvest Church. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Paul Harrell Jr., and Jesse Ray Harrell; a daughter, LaVonne Hauk, (husband-David); four grandchildren, David Hauk II, (wife-Amy), Jesse Hauk, Jacob Harrell, and Joey Harrell; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Sharon Russell; a brother, Marcus; four sisters, Margie, Norma, Pat, and Beverly. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Cloverdale Cemetery. Memories may be shared with the family at www.Hopkins-Rector.com.
