Judith Cummings Custis

She was born on August 12, 1935 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Fayne Cummings and Thelma Vaughn Cummings.

Mrs. Custis was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Belle Union.

Surviving are her mother, Thelma Sloan; children, Rita Bain and husband Don of Reelsville, Lisa Rader and husband Carl of Terre Haute, Douglas Custis of Greencastle, and Fayne Custis and wife Charlene of Altamonte Springs, Florida; a sister, Ann Mowery and husband Bob of Linton, Indiana; five granddaughters, Angie Edwards and husband Chris, Melissa Anderson, Hope Custis, Valarie Bartrom and husband Phil, Hilarie Pistilli and husband Patrick; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Fayne Cummings; husband Harry W. Custis and her step-father Earl Sloan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh Fitzsimmons and Pastor Pat Pistilli officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
