LaDonna Kelly

Born March 17, 1938 in Greencastle, IN, she was the daughter of James T. and Elsie (Chiles) McNeff. LaDonna was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1956” and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in education from DePauw University. She married Marvin Kelly on April 1, 1956 and he survives.

LaDonna was a school teacher with South Putnam School Corporation, having taught elementary school for Belle Union and Reelsville, retiring in 2001. She was a member of PEO and the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Greencastle, serving as co-president of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and as a deacon.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; children, Rick (Dena) Kelly, Randy (Sharon) Kelly, Bob (Jane) Kelly, Ellen (Scott) Johnson, Jill (Kelly) Lazzell, and Maria Kelly; a brother, Ronnie (Lois) McNeff; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy McNeff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Paul Champion officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 13th at the funeral home.
