Mona was born in Greencastle on January 7, 1957, the daughter of Frank and Betty (Snider) Harney, and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.
Mona loved to help others. She took care of her family and friends and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Harney; three sons, Christopher Monnett, Seth Monnett, (Pamela), and Zebulah LeLoup, (Brandi Crowe); two brothers Terry Harney and Jack Harney; five sisters, Julie Jimenez, Lori Allen, Janice Wehr, Margaret Shaner, (David), and Nancy Stanfield, (Manfred); four grandchildren, Caden Monnett, Bane Kean, Hallee Sillery and Kyley Regynski; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Harney; and a brother-in-law, Mark Wehr.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to time of service Thursday.
