Morris Leon Taylor

Born March 15, 1935 in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Lester C. and D. Marie (Simpson) Taylor.

Morris served 26 years in the Army, Army Guard, and Air National Guard, retiring in 1994. He had also worked at Greencastle Manufacturing for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his children, Nora I. (David) Blevins, Clifford L. (Jean) Taylor, Beverly A. (Edward) Neumann, Matthew L. (Darla) Taylor, Michael L. (Sabrina) Taylor: brothers, Arlis (Patty) Taylor, Norman (Pearl) Taylor, Evan Wayne (Mary) Taylor, Steve (Sheree) Taylor and Jerry Ray Taylor; sisters, Arlene Mattox, Linda Faye Auterson; and Shirley Juanita Ward; sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jeremy and brother, Carl Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at the Clinton Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
