Myrtle “Marty” I. Cook, 76, of Greencastle passed away on September, 13, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Marty was born in Brightwood on December 18, 1943, the daughter of Albert Frank and Kathryn (Lucky) VanSlyke, and was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Cook worked for over 20 years as a shipping Clerk for Marsh Supermarket. She was a member of Cloverdale Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Tami Cliburn, (husband-Rodney); her son, Tom Chilton; a sister, Kathryn Stacy; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 12 years, Richard Cook; two sons, Anthony and Kelly Chilton; a daughter, Apryl Smith; and three brothers, George Hedrick, Albert Vanslyke, and Frank Vanslyke.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
