Shirley was born in Greencastle on October 27, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Geraldine (York) Smiley, and was a graduate of Reelsville School.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clifford King; four children, Deanna Pruitt, (Harry), Marsha Sunkel, (Doug), Jeff King, (Jenny), and Greg King, (Julia); two brothers, Harold Smiley, and Richard Smiley, (Sandra); a sister, Brenda Keeney, (Lonnie); eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers, Clifford Smiley, and Keith Smiley; and a sister, Darlene Bell.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Forest Hill Cemetery.
