Steven Dale Baker

Steven Dale Baker, 64, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday August 9, 2019. He was born April 18, 1955 in Plymouth, Indiana to Glenn and Nora Tellkamp Baker. Steve worked in the Baker family business, Baker’s Remove-All with his dad from 1978. In 1993 Baker Septic Service was started, and Steve became the owner of the business in 2010. Steve always had a helping hand for anyone in need, he never met a stranger. His father preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Diana; a daughter, Crystal Heimes and husband Bruce; his mother, Nora Baker; two sisters, Tammy Perez and husband Gil, and Cheryl Spencer and husband Carl; a brother, Roger Baker; a brother-in-law, Thomas Fowler; six grandchildren, Sandra Biddle, Daryl Boswell, Jr., Kayelia Heimes, Jonathan Boswell and wife Angela, Elizabeth Boswell, and Natashya Dreher; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family invites you to Celebrate Steve’s Life on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4 – 8 P.M. at Harris Hall at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Inurnment will be private. Memorials in memory of Steve may be directed to the Putnam County Humane Society, envelopes will be available at the Celebration.
