June 6, 2025 Aaron “Arrow” Dale Metz passed away at his residence in Durham, NC. He is preceded in death by his father, Dale James Metz, and his grandparents James and Ann Metz of Rochester NY, and Henry and Josephine Spas of Ashville NY, and his sweet cat, Moonpie.
He is survived by his daughter, Annalise Susan Metz, his mother, Susan Metz, his sister Jessica Metz, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
Aaron showed an early aptitude for music and enjoyed playing guitar with friends throughout his life. He was a graduate of Guilford Day School and went on to work where he was always a helping hand. Whether it was laughing with a student at Mc Iver, caring for adults with disabilities, or keeping homes safe from pests he was always a valued employee committed to his work. Aaron also loved the water his whole life; swimming and family vacations to the beach as a kid, splashing in the pool with Anna and fishing as an adult. He was a good man with a caring heart.
His greatest love in life was his daughter, Annalise. The time they spent together was the brightest and most beautiful of his life.
