

Born October 25, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Sophie Whren and Albert Hall, Al had fond memories of growing up just blocks from Ebbets Field, home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He attended Mahattan College on a track scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1969. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Pace University in New York. His first job after graduation was with Western Electric Company, with whom he loyally worked as they became part of AT&T Corporation and then Lucent Technologies. After retiring from Lucent, he worked for Capital One Corporation in Richmond, Virginia for five years.
Al moved to North Carolina with his family in 1979, and loved to call Greensboro home. He was an active member of and volunteer with Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister, Patricia Dibblee, he is lovingly remembered by his surviving family members, including his wife of 39 years, Clare; daughter Amanda Reilly and husband Declan of Atlanta, GA; Charles Hall and his wife Christine of Charlotte, NC; son Timothy, of Atlanta, GA; and adoring grandchildren Erin and Kieran Reilly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 20 from 6pm-8pm at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, North Elm Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, May 21 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Grace Church, 2205 W.
